It's a quiet relaxed place with music playing and conducive to staying on for a few more glasses of wine. Prices are not cheap but what you should expect to pay for the linen, the space and the level of service. Frequented by legal and business high-flyers, this basement restaurant does a roaring lunch trade fuelled by rustic northern Italian dishes. PubSpy amused to find the Specials are recited by the staff and a fine wine list compliments the menu. With 100 wines on the main list, 40 on the reserve list and 25 by the glass, Caterina's is certainly serious about its tipple. It's also dedicated to serving authentic central and northern Italian dishes like risotto of pork sausage, spinach and mushrooms.
