Thursday, 8 March 2018: PubSpy saddened to inform you, it’s goodbye to The Murchison Tavern for now, but not for ever as the “old girl” will temporarily close on Sunday. Bar owner Tony Rosser said it was a very hard decision to close the Geraldton business, which has been operating for almost 130 years. Mr Rosser said the hotel industry had been struggling everywhere for a while.
“We feel we need to take stock and look at new ways to provide our patrons with an experience that will be profitable for all concerned,” he said. “Internally we are looking at a number of new systems and business partners within the hotel environment to enhance the site.” PubSpy will keep you up to date on developments.
